As if the lineup for Lollapalooza wasn’t good enough, San Francisco’s Outside Lands lineup is absolutely, ridiculously, amazingly, historically, one of the best lineups EVER in the history of man (ok, maybe Woodstock, could top it)!!!

Some many different genres, so many huge names, so many bands that are quickly rising, I feel a panic attack coming on. From Foo Fighters, to Stevie Wonder, to Metallica, to Neil Young, to Beck, to Jack White, to Alabama Shakes, to Fun, to Big Boi… and on and on… This year, Outside Lands will be held August 10-12. Check out the complete lineup below… and get pumped!

Last year at Outside Lands

Next tier of tickets goes on sale this Thursday, April 19, @12 PST, 3-day pass $195.

Pantera celebrates 20 year anniversary of “Vulgar Display of Power”

Pantera – Walk from SaiTaM on Vimeo.
It seems like only yesterday that Pantera took the world by storm and came out with Vulgar Display of Power. I think that means we’re getting old, however, this gem from 1992 will never decline in value. Right when bands like Metallica and Megadeath decided to slow things up a little, Pantera knew exactly what they were doing and what they wanted when they released Vulgar Display of Power. The sound that they perfected on this album, according to Tom from Stereogum, is like “A crunchy bottom-heavy groove that nodded toward speed-metal theatrics but put more emphasis on deliberate locked-groove marches rather than flights of virtuosity.” Remember Pantera and 20 years of Vulgar Display of Power, by watching the video above.

Orion Music Festival to feature METALLICA

Atlantic City, NJ, June 23 and 24, Metallica will headline both nights of the Orion Music Festival, celebrating the 20th anniversary of the ‘Black Album’. Hetfield, Ulrich, Hammett, and Trujillo will play the entire ‘Black Album’ night one, and all of ‘Ride the Lightning’ night two. With Metallica celebrating their 30th birthday last year, they still know how to rock and put on a good show. Just hoping that when I’m James or Lars’ age, that I will have as much energy and passion as they do.
