Lineup for The 14the Annual Pickathon Indie Roots Music Festival 2012- Pendarvis, Oregon, August 3-5

Wish I could go to this festival, with a line up to include Neko Case, Blitzen Trapper, Dr. Dog, Gordan Gano, Todd Snider, Mynabirds, Thee Oh Sees and Robert Ellis and more. The venue sounds quite interesting, actually damn amazing, up in Oregon, in Pendarvis Farm. After looking at some videos and pics from last year’s festival, the stages seem to be placed in some of the most magical spots amongst the forest the lies in Pedarvis Farm, just unreal. Tickets are pretty reasonable at $190 for the weekend, including camping, but it’s only 10 days away, so you should get your tickets soon if you plan to go.

Dr. Dog rocked the UC Berkeley campus Cal Day 4/21, 2012

Finally I had the opportunity to see the amazing Dr. Dog live in concert. I happened to be in the bay area for the celebration this past Friday, April 20, at Golden Gate Park (San Francisco), when I got a call from my middle brother Levi, that the next day, Dr. Dog was giving a free show on UC Berkeley campus… well, I had to stick around for this, since I hadn’t seen them yet, and on top of that who can pass up a free show?!?

“Shadow People”
(sorry for the sound quality)

The sunburn was worth it! From beginning to end, the members of Dr. Dog continued to entertain the crowd of cheerful fans as everyone sang along to their psychedelic, spirit lifting music.

I Can’t wait to catch them again at Outside Lands this summer, August 10-12 in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park. See you there!

As if the lineup for Lollapalooza wasn’t good enough, San Francisco’s Outside Lands lineup is absolutely, ridiculously, amazingly, historically, one of the best lineups EVER in the history of man (ok, maybe Woodstock, could top it)!!!

Some many different genres, so many huge names, so many bands that are quickly rising, I feel a panic attack coming on. From Foo Fighters, to Stevie Wonder, to Metallica, to Neil Young, to Beck, to Jack White, to Alabama Shakes, to Fun, to Big Boi… and on and on… This year, Outside Lands will be held August 10-12. Check out the complete lineup below… and get pumped!

New Dr. Dog album, “Be the Void”, available February 7, 2012

Dr. Dog fans are eagerly awaiting for the release of the bands 6th album, “Be the Void”. Originally from Philadelphia, Dr. Dog has been around the world energetically entertaining fans at festivals such as Coachella and High Sierra for over 10 years. Their psychedelic rock sound gets people up dancing, just letting the music take over.
With the new album “Be the Void”, Dr. Dog goes for more of a rock ‘n’ roll flavor rather than their familiar pop-funk-rock-jam band sound.
See them at the 22nd annual High Sierra Festival in Quincy, CA on June 5-8.
